With so many rumours and leaks, we knew for sure that the Samsung Galaxy S series was in for a new name. Well, now it's confirmed that we will definitely not be greeting the Samsung Galaxy S11 this year, and will instead welcome in the new Samsung Galaxy S20 series thanks to this leak.
Xda developers revealed the first live images of Samsung's 2020 flagship, of which you can see clearly on the startup screen the words Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G. The images leaked also shows the front and back of the smartphone, of which we can see a total of 4 cameras on the rear, and a punch hole camera on the top middle of the front screen. According to Xda, there's also no Bixby button, which seems to be a major difference from the S10 series.
More comments on the first upcoming S20 series includes that the Infinity-O display is a lot less curved than before, with one source stating that it felt flat - similar to the Pxel 2 XL. Samsung seems to have also opted for 2.5D glass instead of their usual curved glass, but we will have to wait and see if this is true.
The Galaxy S20 series is expected to have a few variants; the 4G Galaxy S20, 5G Galaxy S20, 4G Galaxy S20+, and 5G Galaxy S20+. We're not sure if we will ever get the 5G variants here in Malaysia, seeing as we didn't get it for the S10 series. But it could be possible as 5G is expected to hit Malaysia by the end of the year.
