They say you get what you pay for in life, but in this case, we would argue that you’re getting more than what you’re paying for with its new 8.1. The latest addition to the company’s ‘value flagship’ line, the phone weighs in at a modest ₹26,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. For the price, you’re getting a 6.18in FHD+ edge-to-edge display with a hideable notch and HDR 10 support and extended battery life. The dual camera setup consists of a 12MP main snapper with a 13MP depth sensor underneath, courtesy of Zeiss optics. You get 20MP worth of selfies from the front, along with video recording on 4K mode. All this is complemented by what’s under the skin - there’s a Snapdragon 710 doing the heavy lifting, and the phone runs on the fat-free Android One programme. Though it’s available on Amazon from December 21, you can pre-book an early Christmas present for yourself right away...
