With the pandemic confining us to our own four walls, video calls have become the new normal way of communicating with friends and colleagues. To cater to this new trend, Xiaomi has introduced its Mi TV webcam that captures videos at full HD (1080p) with a 71-degree wide-angle view. The camera may only be 2MP, but it has a 3D noise reduction algorithm that enhances picture quality in low light conditions. The sleek minimalistic design includes a magnetic mount which makes mounting it on a TV, monitor or laptop convenient. Its simple plug-and-play feature lets you skip any setup process or software installations. The company claims that the mic captures crystal clear stereo audio up to 4m, and there is also a manual shutter on the lens for added privacy. The Mi TV Webcam will be available starting June 28 on Xiaomi’s website, Mi Home and Mi studio for a retail price of ₹1,999.
