So the already well-populated range of soundbars from Sony gets a brand new entry, but this time it features the full Dolby Atmos experience, just like the one on it’s elder brother, the HT-Z9F at a price that’s supremely tempting. The new Sony HT-G700 soundbar and subwoofer launched globally at $600 (approx ₹45,000), making it one of the most affordable Dolby Atmos-powered soundbars available today. Sony manages to keep the price low by using fewer speakers to deliver Atmos by focusing on the widening of the surround sound effect, which makes the front three speakers create a 7.1.2 channel experience thanks to Sony’s Vertical Surround Engine. The HT-G700 supports pretty much all the high-resolution surround formats like DTS-X and Dolby Atmos and has a power output of 400W. There is no word on Indian availability yet, but we should see it on our shores soon enough.
