Honor 9X Pro And Honor MagicBook Malaysian Launch Delayed Indefinitely

Products will all be sold online

UPDATE: Honor Malaysia has informed us that due to the recent restrictions, the launch has been postponed indefinitely.

Malaysia is about to start a restrictive movement order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and as such you can expect a lot of local tech launches to be delayed. This includes the Honor 9X Pro and Honor MagicBook which was meant to launch this 19 March 2020. It has now been delayed indefinitely.

COVID-19 has forced plenty of tech events to be done via live stream or cancelled altogether, and with the current restriction happening in Malaysia all tech can only be sold via online. The same will be done with the Honor 9X Pro and Honor MagicBook, which will be available on their official website soon.

For recap, the Honor 9X Pro we will be getting is packed with the 7nm Kirin 810 Chipset and will have 6GB RAM + 256 GB ROM, with up 512GB expandable storage which is definitely an upgrade from the Honor 9X's 125GB ROM. The fingerprint scanner is on the side rather than behind like the original 9X, and the 48MP main camera comes with AI Ultra Clarity and due to a higher processor, you can get a 4X higher ISO capability of up to 102400 compared to the 9X's 25600. There's also the addition of the AIS 2.0 stabilisation for stable photo and video taking.

For the Honor MagicBook, we will be getting one packed with the AMD Ryzen R5-3500U that includes an 8GB memory, and a PCIe NVMe SSD storage capacity at 512GB. As it is the Honor MagicBook 14, you're getting a 14-inch IPS LCD display with a maximum resolution at Full HD only, and no it won't have a touch display, something that the later models has.

You can check the official Honor website for more information.
