Android Wear users had been having issues with their watches, thanks to updates that seem to have broken Google Assistant.
Fixing core functions
The main issue with the watches was that Google Assistant no longer acted like an assistant, only being able to do searches nothing more. Attempts at asking it to, say, schedule appointments would fail.
In response, Google has rolled out an update to fix the affected watches. On the Google Product forum, a community manager confirmed that an update to the Google app was already available.
Should you be affected, all you need to do is press the power button and choose the Play Store from the launcher.Swiping down from the front of the screen should reveal the My Apps icon. Clicking on it, you should be able to see the update available for the Google app.
Users have reported the update working on their watches so it should be safe to install.
