Facebook Reactions have, like it or not, become a part of the Facebook experience. Expect them to invade your Messenger chats next.
A dislike button...sort of
Techcrunch got a tip from a reader that Reactions were now showing up on Messenger, allowing users to rate messages. While Facebook has refused so far to add a 'dislike' reaction on its Newsfeed, the new Reactions for Messenger will allow you to thumbs-up or thumbs-down a specific message.
It's envisioned more as a 'yes' or 'no' function and functions a lot like iMessages Tapback emoji. Besides the thumbs-up and thumbs-down, you wll also see heart-eyes, LOL, sad, wow and angry emojis as options. Apparently it's not a confirmed rollout as yet, with Facebook merely testing to see if people like it enough.
In a group chat, it might be an easy way to see how many people like a suggestion in chat by offering the thumbs-down option. Dinner plans, sorted!
