When we asked the Uni-Cub&#39;s designers if they were planning on bringing self-stabilising, bi-directional wheels to Honda&#39;s cars, they said we&#39;re more likely to see this tech emerging in motorbikes, bicycles and e-bikes in the near future, which sounds exciting. The technology could also be of use to people who currently use electric wheelchairs or mobility scooters - the Uni-Cub&#39;s high, upright position, quiet motors and gliding stability (plus the fact that it can climb inclines) could be transferred to many new kinds of personal transport.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" alt="" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/unicubshot.jpg?1405680249" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image-2"> <div class="field-label">Image #2:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image_2" width="1200" height="900" alt="" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/03-UNI-CUB.jpg?1405680249" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> </fieldset> http://www.stuff.tv/my/honda/riding-robo-chair-buttocks-hondas-new-uni-cub-b/feature#comments Honda Robots Fri, 18 Jul 2014 00:58:24 +0000 Elissa Loi 1442413 at http://www.stuff.tv Honda’s Asimo robot becomes faster and smarter http://www.stuff.tv/my/honda/honda-s-asimo-robot-becomes-faster-and-smarter/news <div class="field field-type-text field-field-standfirst"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Upgrades transform Honda&#039;s electric child into something that&#039;s scarily human </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-enable-hero"> <div class="field-label">Enable hero:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Enable full width image </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-main-image"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_main_image" width="1190" height="765" title="I&#039;m harmless.
