While some people take their time finishing games, speedrunners want to get to the finish line the fastest. One guy finished the much-hyped (and deservedly so) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
YouTuber gymnast86 put up a video showing him playing the game on the Wii U, an NTSC version in English. If you're a fan of the game and have an hour to spare, it's a pretty interesting summary of what the game has to offer.
The gamer says he doesn't use amiibo while playing - a decision some gamers make as amiibo are considered, to them, a cheat.
While that opinion is contentious, what can't be denied is that considering the playthrough was only an hour, it's still pretty impressive to be able to finish a game that fast. Not long after gymnast86 finished the run, another gamer who goes by the name Orcastraw, managed a speedrun of 54 minutes.
With the runs getting ever faster, perhaps by tonight someone else will shorten the speedrun play time even more. In the meantime, check out our review of the latest Zelda game. Spoiler: it's good.
