Right now in the local market there are many phones that breach the four inch screen barrier. Heck many are going above and beyond. But what if you are a fan of the Windows Phone 8 platform? You don’t have any big models to choose from – except now you do. Nokia has announced that the new Lumia 625 is now available for consumers in Malaysia. Being the largest of the Lumia family at 4.7 inches, it also has a decent amount of features for its asking price.
More Than Enough
While it might not have a high-end processor, the dual-core Snapdragon processor running 1.2GHz makes sure that everything is running smoothly on Windows Phone 8. Stuff's Will Dunn got his hands on the Lumia 625 atan earlier Nokia event, and reckons that “the dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 is not going to outpace your 500-quid blower but it'll do most of what WP8 can offer”.
It is also one of the few Windows Phone 8 devices that allow a microSD to be used for media storage, on top of the ubiquitous SkyDrive with Microsoft. Other cool things: the Nokia Smart Camera app with options like Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus and Nokia Cinemagraph, which transforms pictures into living memories.
The Nokia Lumia 625 will be available from next week (26 August) onwards, for only RM939. There will be five colours available (Orange, Bright Green, Yellow, White and Black). The additional interchangeable backplates will be available in the near future. We will give you the pricing when it is out. In the meantime check out our own hands-on of the 625 right here.
