Huawei rumoured to be also prepping a Nexus device

Huawei could be making Google-branded phones that wouldn't work in China

Huawei's been busy lately what with a series of back-to-back new phones and the P8 making a lot of waves. The latest rumour though is that Huawei is joining the ranks of 'manufacturers making phones for Google'. A Huawei Nexus device sounds exciting but how feasible is that?

The source of the leak is an unnamed Huawei employee in the UK. Said employee also revealed that despite the many Google restrictions in China, Huawei might be able to work things out to its benefit. Most likely by making a China-only Nexus and another for the international market.

Huawei and Google have not confirmed this news, with Google declining to comment. So far the rumoured Huawei Nexus is said to have a 5.7-inch QHD display and be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. We'll just have to see whether Huawei will manage to create a device to beat all other Nexus phones so far.
