Noise-canceling headphones are definitely in demand now, with some of the big brands like Sony and Bose offering some of the best in the market. Now a new challenger appears with Audio Technica’s 3 new noise-cancelling earphones which was announced during CES 2019
The first in the lineup is the ATH-ANC900BT, the highest spec out of the three and the most expensive offering. It comes in a nice jet black finish and is fully equipped with Bluetooth 5, 35 hours of battery life, and charges through micro USB. There are three modes for the audio-canceling capabilities, and you can easily switch between these modes with the accompanying Audio Technica Connect app. It will retail for USD $ 299 or MYR 1200 and will launch sometime in March.
The second headphone being offered is the ANC500BT; a much cheaper option with less features, though it still features superb noise-cancelling capabilities. It doesn’t support higher audio formats, but it is foldable and have 20 hours of battery life than can be charged through micro USB. It’s priced at USD $ 99 or MYR 400 and will be available in the Spring.
The last new item on hand is the ATH-ANC100BT, which looks more like your usual earphones compared to the last two headphone designs. While the 100BT is technically wireless, the earphones themselves are connected to a battery pack, which may be a deal-breaker for some. It connects to your devices using Bluetooth 4.2 and has a battery life of 10 hours. It will also retail at USD $ 99 or MYR 400 and go on sale sometime in Spring.
Overall, Audio Technica is covering their bases with this new lineup of noise-cancelling headphones. We’re hoping to try them out when it arrives later in the year.
