Who doesn’t love taking pictures? We certainly do. Which is why, when we think about buying a smartphone, we really want one that’s got great camera skills.
Now, what if we told you, that a smartphone that starts at a little over 10k can offer stellar shots? The phone we have in mind is the new Honor 9 Lite. It packs in not one, not two, not three, but quad cameras. Two at the rear and two on the front for those glorious selfies. We’ve been using the device for over a couple of weeks now and let us tell you why we are impressed.
What you get for your money is 13MP and 2MP sensors on the front and on the rear. While the 13MP does the primary sensor duties, the 2MP part is a monochrome sensor. Honor 9 Lite makes use of the capabilities of both these sensors to offer shots that are packed with detail and moody bokeh filled when you take portrait shot.
One of the other things the Honor 9 Lite does brilliantly well is exposure. It’s got the smarts to handle light input amazingly well. Daylight shots are crisp and even as the sun goes down, shots are detail-packed.
If you are the one that loves to tinker with camera settings, you are in for a treat. The camera offers a Pro mode that lets you fine tune a ton of settings like exposure, ISO, focus and more. You can even indulge in time-lapse, or use filters, or watermark your shots. Our favourite mode here would be the light painting which is an absolute delight to work within the dark.
The lighting quick camera app is the final icing on the cake, that lets you take pictures quickly. This one gets two thumbs, all the way up from us.
