Fast & Furious is undeniably one of the greatest franchise in modern day movies.
On the heels of 2015’s Fast & Furious 7, one of the fastest movies to reach $1 billion worldwide in box office history and the sixth biggest global title of all time, this next installment aims to be even more grand.
The production of the 8th part wasn’t sure after the untimely death of Paul Walker, but now it's really happening and Vin Diesel promises that this will be the best movie ever. But will the Fate of the Furious live upto our expectation?
Read on for the five reasons why Fast & Furious 8 deserves your excitement - and will probably be the best action movie of 2017.
1) Dom gone rogue
Okay, let’s address the elephant in the room. Dom is not Dom, but he’s Dom. What? I confused you more than the trailer. Precisely. Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) has gone AWOL and with combined efforts of all our Fast & Furious love, we cannot figure out why. And we love it. It only thickens the plot of the movie.
Nowadays movies give a lot from their trailer (we’re looking at you Batman v Superman) but Fast & Furious 8 has kept it under the sheets and not on the streets. We know Dom’s gone rogue and not on his own free will and what could be the reason? Not going to sleep till April 12.
2) More cars
Super cars, hypercars, tiny cars, cars with two wheels (bikes), muscle cars, trucks, tanks and a freakin’ submarine. Fast & Furious is known for mashing up all sorts of crazies when it comes to vehicular showcase and their destruction.
And this one takes it a step forward with the Lamborghinis drifting across icy shelfs and submarines popping from under. We wonder what they’re doing there but one thing’s for certain, the bad guys are the good guys and the super bad guys are the villains. Classic F&F.
3) Crazy techy action
So, Dom’s gone rogue and the reason seems to be Cipher who is the definition of ‘hi-tech terrorism’ according to the trailer. Ya, suck it Terminator, you ain’t as high-tech as Charlize Theron controlling all cars at once.
4) A freakin’ submarine
We said it before, we’ll say it again. A freakin’ submarine! Crackin’ from under icy shelves, this baby has got us most excited.
The Rock turns a torpedo with his bare hands and Vin Diesel turns a car in mid-air. Possibly the best action sequence of the movie or the funniest, whichever way you look at it, the F&F franchise was all about ridiculously action-packed stunts and crazy explosion savagery. So, it stays true to the game. We’ll have to book that ticket on April 12 faster than Dom’s gear shifts.
5) Free tickets
We’re giving you a chance to win tickets for this one. Who doesn’t want to watch Vin Diesel furiously shift gears and beat his family up? Okay, that might have come out wrong. But you get the picture. You don’t? Then what are you waiting for - just follow this link and answer a few questions and you’ll be in the front seat to possibly the best action movie of this year.
Hurry! This competition closes on 11 April 2017 and we really don't want you to miss out.
