Twitter wants you to explore

Micro-blogging app takes away Moments

In an effort to make it easier to see what’s happening in trends, Moments and the best of live video, Twitter has introduced an all new Explore tab.

This tab consolidates the aforementioned search and discovery features under one tab, thus replacing the Moments tab. The current search icon, a magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner on iOS will be done away with.

Twitter is making it easier for people to find what they want without eliminating any of the existing features which previously were scattered throughout the app.

Bye bye Moments

The irksome Moments tab, a curation of notable tweets by Twitter editors, will be found deeper inside the Explore tab. The new Explore tab resembles Instagram’s Explore tab which is also a magnifying glass.

During its research process, the micro-blogging site found that the new Explore tab helped people easily find news, what’s trending and what’s popular at the moment.

Explore has already begun rolling out on Twitter for iOS, and will come to Twitter Android in the coming weeks.
