PlayStation nonchalantly announced the PSVR 2 controllers which are shaped like orbs. The next-gen VR controller (that’s what PlayStation is calling it, we don’t know if it will be called PSVR 2) has all the features of the DualSense controller from the PS5. It’s basically a gaming controller split in half with the left analog stick, L1, L2, Triangle and Square buttons on the left controller and the right analog stick with R1, R2, Circle and Cross buttons on the right controller. It also has adaptive triggers which we loved on the PS5 controller and the haptic feedback too. PlayStation says it can detect your touch without any pressing in the areas where you place your thumb, index, or middle fingers. Also, the orb shape is not because the designers at PlayStation are intoxicated, but because that ring enables tracking for the headset through a tracking ring across the bottom of the controller. No release date yet but hopefully we get more PS5 units before Sony decides to release this worldwide.
