LG Electronics has announced the roll out of its pâtisserie-esque soundbar. Announced at CES 2021, the Eclair (QP5) is miniature in size, but promises monster sound with support for 7.1 channel sound, and AI that analyses the content played to apply the best settings for an immersive audio experience. It’s impressive how LG has managed to fit five drivers – a centre channel, side channels (positioned at 45-degree angles), and two upward firing drivers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X height effects. Accompanying the soundbar is a wireless subwoofer that adds to the spatial detail of the sound. The speaker is wrapped in jersey fabric that comes in white or black that easily blends with your home decor. There’s no word on an India launch yet, but it is available in LG’s home country for 899,000 won (approx ₹52,000).
