ASUS ZenFone 5
The ZenFone 5 is no slouch either. Clocking in at 1.6GHz with its dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor, a motor that size will do just fine powering you through your daily social-stalking over multiple accounts.
It helps that the ZenFone 5 is a thing of beauty, measuring only 5.5mm at its thinnest, and fronted in a 5in 1280 x 720 HD IPS+ display that's also accessible when your hands are gloved thanks to Asus’ ingenious GloveTouch tech. Not that we'd get to utilise much of it in Singapore but it's the thought that counts.
The rear camera is an 8MP affair that packs PixelMaster tech and a handy Low Light mode that will handle less light more easily, something not even flagships can claim to be experts at. Memory is boostable up to an additional 64GB on top of its domestic 8GB supply.
Least budget-like feature: That incredibly portable form factor. Its svelte 5.5mm side view puts flagships like the chunkier HTC One (M8)’s 9.35mm and Samsung Galaxy S5’s 8.1mm builds to shame. Also, nothing about Asus' attention to detail on the metallic accents spells budget at all.
