Samsung Brings Foldable Phones To Life With The Galaxy Fold

The future is unfolding before us.

After months of rumours and speculation, the truth has finally been revealed. Samsung was indeed pioneering a new kind of foldable smartphone and it is called the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The Galaxy Fold features the world’s first 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display, which folds into a compact device with a cover display. Galaxy Fold offers a powerful new way to multitask, watch videos, play games, and more, bringing to life new experiences and possibilities years in the making.

With a clamshell design, the phone can be as compact as any other Samsung phone, but then unfold into a much bigger device. Samsung invented a new polymer layer and created a display around 50 percent thinner than the typical smartphone display. The new material makes Galaxy Fold flexible and tough, built to last. The Galaxy Fold opens smoothly and naturally like a book, and closes flat and compact with a satisfying click by way of a hinge with multiple interlocking gears.

The Galaxy Fold is fully equipped with a high-powered, next-generation AP chipset and 12GB of RAM. The sophisticated dual battery system was specifically engineered to keep up with the demands of the user. Galaxy Fold is also capable of charging itself and a second device simultaneously via Wireless PowerShare, while connected to a regular charger. Dynamic AMOLED display and clear AKG stereo speakers makes the Galaxy Fold the ultimate on-the-go entertainment device.

The Galaxy Fold is also impressively outfitted with 6 cameras: a 10MP Selfie Camera on the cover, a 16MP Ultra Wide Camera, 12MP Wide-angle Camera, and 412MP Telephoto Camera with 2X optical zoom on the back of the phone, and lastly, a 10MP Selfie Camera and a 8MP RGB Depth Camera on the screen of the phone.

With more than enough features and innovations, the Galaxy Fold will retail for about MYR 8,100 and will be available in the second quarter of 2019.
