Samsung just can’t hold it in. After teasing us with their new Exynos 5 Octa system, they’ve decided to release all the juicy little details.
The new chip is said to pack in 20% more processing power and 2 times more 3D graphics power than its predecessor. This is courtesy of the quartet of ARM Cortex-A15 cores running at 1.8GHz and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7s that’s baked into it. It’ll also supposedly less power hungry, with a multiple image compression solution that’ll make multimedia loading less power intensive with high-resolution displays.
The processor should be making its way to us pretty soon as reports say it’s undergoing sampling by Samsung customers and production should start in August.
That means, that the next iteration of the tablets and smartphones might be sporting these little bad boys soon. So with better processing and even better graphics capabilities, we're guessing Angry Birds in 3D shouldn't be too far round the corner.
