With the rise of 10-second stories being a feature across every social media platform, the need to provide and produce stable footages to the Internet at large is more important than ever. Selfie sticks just don’t cut it anymore; a proper gimbal is needed. Which is why DJI has consistently given consumers a worthy option, and they aren’t stopping just yet.
As spotted by Twitter user Dave Zatz, the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 gimbal is an upcoming product from DJI, and has just passed through the American Federal Communications Commission. While ostensibly, it looks and functions similarly to the DJI Mobile 2, the designs shows a new, more ergonomic grip for the gimbal.
For now, only the physical changes have been revealed, with no word on any functional upgrades. The big upgrade that the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 gave was to allow users to film in portrait mode, so maybe the Mobile 3 might introduce other quality of life improvements.
The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 would be perfect for those who do most of their video making with their smartphones, with no release date or pricing leaked just yet. Hopefully, we’ll see more of the Osmo Mobile 3 before the year ends.
