Perhaps because January is almost over, Apple's decided to have a productivity app sale. Earlier in the month, it had a nice New Year's app spread where it recommended apps for people to start their new year on a new foot. The sale involves both Mac and iOS apps.

The 19 iOS apps featured are some pretty popular ones, including Clear (a formerly featured app), popular calendar app Fantastical and quirky to-do app Carrot.

Top-tier apps for cheap

The discounts are pretty decent - for instance, Fantastical 2 usually goes for US$5 but is going US$1.99 and Duets Display is US$7.99, down from US$15.

As for the Mac apps, the apps include Day One, the popular journalling app (available on Mac and iOS), Notability as well as the Mac OS version of Fantastical.

So if you need help keeping your resolutions in order then why not check out some of apps on sale. To the people on Android: better luck next time.
