If Realme 5 series’ quad cams don’t make you snap happy, nothing else will

What an eventful year it has been — new phone launches almost every month, and now the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro have arrived at our door with a special delivery. Four cameras it is, but what more, you’d ask. We recently overheard a little birdie asking why they should buy a Realme phone if it’s likely to get outdated by say… tomorrow. That’s quite a compliment if you ask us, because Realme folks have kept us on our toes and nerves, keeping track of all the new milestones they keep achieving with every new launch. Launched in two colour variants - Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue, the Realme 5 Pro boasts of four lenses - Ultra Wide lens with a f/2.25 large aperture sensor and 8MP resolution; a Primary lens that boasts a Sony IMX586 sensor and ability to shoot up to 48MP; a Portrait cam for all those insta-happy snappy snaps and a Macro lens that holds the potential to make even the rookies feel like pros. There’s also a 16MP selfie cam, but when you’ve got a snapper that’s giving you 48MP, you’d leave the selfie cam for snap-happy teenagers. Besides the cams, its Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor promises faster everything. Faster graphics rendering for gamers is another feather to the hat. That’s actually a lot to hold in a body that is priced from ₹13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant. All we can say is that the sub-20k patrons can rejoice, while the rest of you wait for our review.
