The unique dual-screen display YotaPhone2 by the Russian company Yota is currently being prepped for its launch in the United States. The company started an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for publicity and also for the release of the phone.
Within the first hour of the launch, a whopping 75 per cent has been raised for the target of US$50,000. If you want one you can still pledge US$500, that will get you a YotaPhone 2, a free bumper case and three months subscription to BookMate that will put their electronic paper display feature to good use.
You'll get a discount of US$100 by chipping into the campaign, because the company stated that retail price will be around $600 after launch. So it is more like pre-ordering the phone and you get a discount and freebies. If you pledge now, expect to receive your order in August, while the official launch is set in June.
