Vivo V3Max offers super specs for super cheap

With 4GB of RAM and the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 652, on paper this looks like a bargain

Vivo is back with another phone and this time it's the V3Max, a midrange phablet that has pretty sweet specs for the price.

The phone runs on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, has 4GB of RAM and a 3,000mAh battery with a 5.5in display at 1080x1920 pixels made of 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. Camera-wise it has a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera as well as 32GB of flash storage and microSD support. A fingerprint sensor is also present, and the phone runs on the company's own Funtouch OS 2.5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

With its metal body and 4.75mm thickness, the phone is pretty thin - another means to appeal to those who want to spend less on a smartphone without getting one that looks too cheap.

A smaller, slightly lower-specced version, the V3, is likely to also come to Malaysia but only next month. If you're keen on this model, it'll be available come April 15 and is priced at RM1,399 but is available for preorder if you're keen.
