With Realme offering the best in affordable entry-level and mid-range smartphones, it looks like not only are they going to continuously offer the best in that department, they're also expanding their reach. It didn't take long from their China unveiling did they announce that the Realme X2 Pro, Realme X2 and Realme 5 Pro will be launched in Europe as well. Looks like they're going all out in competing with Xiaomi and Samsung there.
The Realme X2 Pro takes the spotlight here, as it looks like it has some pretty impressive specs. It comes with a 6.5-inch “Fluid” Super AMOLED display of FHD+ resolution, together with a reworked UD fingerprint scanner that brings faster unlock speeds. Speaking of speed the phone is packing the Snapdragon 855+ chipset paired with 6/8/12 GB RAM and 64/256GB storage. The 6/64 GB version comes with UFS 2.1 storage while the top 8/256 GB one levels up to UFS 3.0. It also retains a headphone jack.
In terms of camera, it's equipped with a quad-camera setup that features a 64MP f/1.8 main camera and uses Samsung’s GW1 sensor. It also has a 13MP f/2.5 telephoto camera with 20x hybrid zoom and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera. There’s also a 2MP camera for depth sensing. For selfies, the tiny notch in front houses a 16MP front camera.
To keep it powered is a 4000mAh battery that supports 50W SuperVOOC charging via USB-C and with the 10V/5A charging brick, you can fully charge the device within 35 minutes. Neat!
For the Realme 5 Pro, it comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS display and quad-camera setup with a 48MP main shooter. The other three are an 8MP ultrawide snapper, 2MP macro cam and a 2MP depth sensor. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC and comes with 4/8GB RAM alongside 128GB storage.
The Realme X2 Pro comes with a starting price of CNY2599 (~MYR1540) and will also be launched in Europe, together with the Realme 5 Pro. Fingers crossed we will be seeing it come to Malaysia as well, seeing the specs and the potential price tag!
