OPPO’s dedication to innovate smartphone technology impresses yet again with a short video demonstrating their new under-display camera solution which was released a while back. In preparation for this Wednesday’s MWC Shanghai 2019, the company dropped another teaser which features their yet-to-be-named smartphone that is equipped with this technology.
As seen from both teaser videos, this new technology enables OPPO smartphones to eliminate the need of notches, in-display punch hole housing, and even pop-up modules for front facing cameras - thus allowing for a high screen-to-body ratio display. It is not known on how this technology actually works just yet, at least until their press conference is held during the event this Wednesday. Aside from the phone's design shown in the video, not much is known of its name, features (aside from the front camera), or specifications.
