Oppo Teases New Smartphone With Quad Camera Coming This September In Malaysia

Take a guess which smartphone it is

Oppo Malaysia has released a teaser for an upcoming smartphone launch, with the only hint being a quad-camera smartphone. According to the teaser, this upcoming smartphone promises to offer improved features for photography with an innovative design. There aren't a lot of hints on what it could be, though some media have predicted it could be the Oppo Reno 2.

Based on what Oppo has revealed, the new smartphone will feature an amazing quad-lens camera, with each lens working together seamlessly to provide incredible photography results. Based on the image shared, it appears that the new device will have a quad-camera setup with three cameras in a column and one extra shooter positioned on the right. They also revealed that the smartphone is a favourite among their O-fans and has been increasing in popularity in most markets with advantages of beautiful designs, elevated photography performance and upgraded technology. It offers more possibilities than ever before, with newly improved key features to liberate users from the need to compromise, especially in this day an age of constant hustle.

The Oppo Reno 2 comes with a quad camera setup in the middle of the top rear, arranged vertically in a single line, which is the main hint on why it could be this smartphone. In terms of specs, the Oppo Reno 2 features a 6.5″ Full HD+ AMOLED display and it runs a Snapdragon 730G processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. For imaging, the rear gets a 48MP f/1.7 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 13MP telephoto lens and a 2MP mono lens. The device also gets a wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera that has a 16MP front camera.

Oppo has other quad cameras to look out for, such as the Oppo A9 2020, though as you can guess by the name it will only be launching sometime next year and not this month and has been teased mainly in Vietnam. So for now, the Oppo Reno 2 is the best bet but of course, all will be revealed soon enough by Oppo Malaysia!
