Nissan's Juke-R gets a 600hp upgrade

The original Juke-R could go 0-100km/h in 3.0 seconds, but the new one might even top that

The Juke-R is an unusual little car, packing a lot of speed in its baby SUV body. Nissan announced it's being updated at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and will now boast a 600hp engine.

That's because it will use the same engine as the GT-R Nismo supercar: think 3.8 litre twin-turbo V6 engine, 441kW of power and 652Nm of torque. It's also much lighter now Nissan added a lot of carbon fibre to the chassis.

Nissan says it's only a concept at the moment, but so was the original Juke-R that it eventually produced, albeit in limited quantities for the people with enough money to get one. Seeing as the car is even faster than a Lamborghini Huracan, we're betting there's a market for a tiny SUV that can go really, really fast.
