Honor has announced that they will be launching the Honor 20 Lite this October 22 where it will have an AMOLED screen and the fingerprint scanner will be under said screen. This new Honor 20 Lite is different from the global Honor 20 Lite which was called the Honor 20i in China, and it will be among a handful of smartphones from Honor with a non-LCD panel.
This is actually Honor's second smartphone in their line to have an under-display fingerprint scanner, the first one being the Magic 2 slider that's available only in China. It's a trend that's growing among smartphone devices for sure.
Other specs of the phone include a Kirin 810 chipset, up to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It will also have three cameras on the back, the main one being 48 MP. The front panel has a 6.3” diagonal and Full HD+ resolution with a strangely tall ratio. Whether the device will be available globally or have a new name remains unknown for now.
