Celcom makes available Samsung Galaxy A8 and J5 for RM688 and RM438

A decent deal if you're keen on a cheaper Samsung phone

Now you can get a Samsung Galaxy A8 or a Galaxy J5 for RM 688 and RM 438 respectively by signing up with Celcom’s First postpaid plan. The phones are offered with Celcom First Basic 85 or First Elite plan tied on a 24-months contract.

The normal retail price for the Galaxy A8 is RM1,888 and the J5 for RM799 so it is a pretty good offer. The bundle ties you down for 24 years and you will need to pay an upfront payment of RM250 and RM1,000 for either Celcom First Basic 85 or First Elite plans.

The Galaxy A8 features pretty high end specs as it is fitted with a 5.7-inch Full HD Display, an Exynos 5430 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB expandable storage and as a 3050mAh battery. The phone has a 16MP sensor at the back and a 5MP sensor at the front for cameras and supports NFC, LTE and runs on Android 5.1.1.

The Galaxy J5 on the other hand is a lower specced device with a 5-inch 720p display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon410 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The phone has a 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. It also supports dualSIM and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, juiced by a 2,600mAh battery.
