Competition in the mid-range smartphone segment has just gone up a notch with the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE (Core Edition) 5G. This is the second Nord device in India after the launch of the original last year. While the two may look similar, there is enough on the new device to differentiate from the OnePlus Nord. For starters, there’s just one selfie camera this time around. Even the chipset under the hood is different. The Nord CE comes with a 6.43in FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. It is being powered by a Snapdragon 750G SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 256GB storage. For photography, there’s a triple camera setup (64MP primary+8MP ultra-wide+2MP macro) at the back. Up front is a single 16MP selfie snapper. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, 5G support, and a battery with 30W fast charging support. The smartphone goes on sale from June 16 on the company’s website and Amazon India, with prices starting from ₹22,999.
