When it comes to technology, you really cannot go slimmer or smaller without raising the price tag. A clear example of this is Apple and its quest for thinner gadgets (sometimes at the cost of practicality). Chinese smartphone maker Oppo seems to be putting its smartphones on a diet since 2020 and the new Oppo F19 aims to get its customers a slimmer budget smartphone minus that expensive price tag. Priced at ₹18,990 for the single 6GB + 128GB option, Oppo claims that the F19 is the thinnest smartphone with a 5,000mAh battery. And at just 7.95mm, it’s surprisingly thin given that it also makes space for a 48 MP triple rear camera setup, a 16 MP selfie camera and that large battery. There’s a Snapdragon 662 under the hood, but you do get an AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. That large battery also gets a Flash Charge, 33W charger in the box that will get you a full charge in 72 minutes. And just like most of the smartphones in this segment, there’s no 5G.
