Bingeing on content, creating content, and then bingeing on the analytics of the created content is how I’m keeping myself occupied in quarantine.

I am keeping my Instagram page active in creative ways. The lockdown is a great way of achieving that. I create content on a regular basis, some which requires forethought (and now there’s ample time for that), and some is on-the-spot nonsense. 

The best platform to host an online gig… hasn’t been created yet. Nothing can beat (the experience of) performing to a live audience. Virtual will always be secondary to reality unless it’s virtual reality in which case what the hell is that, I’ve always wanted to know… 

I want an Apple Pen… ‘cos I suck at Skribbl.

Quite a few international comedians inspire me, but strictly speaking, in terms of comedy, it’d be Bo Burnham, Sarah Silverman, Louis C. K., and Sam Morril. Ask me tomorrow and my list would have changed. 

Kansan’s trial show last year would probably be the best standup gig I’ve ever attended. That’s when I did the opening gig for him.

A mic... for me is an absolute must-have when I perform live… 

The thought of keeping myself original in the horde of comedians out there has literally never crossed my mind. But since I’ve been asked this, I'm actively going to avoid the question and the eventual overthinking it’ll lead to...

The (in-built) Recorder and Notes app on my phone is what I use for note-taking on a daily basis. I also make notes on a WhatsApp group which only consists of me. 

I feel like I’m cheating on my husband, but I’d choose comedy… if I had to choose between a standup act and a comedy film. 

‘Engineering kar lo pls. Kaafi log hai yaha ab.’ is the one advice I’d give to youngsters who want to pursue standup comedy...
