It’s been almost a decade since Frank Miller’s acclaimed Sin City graphic novel had the big screen treatment by Robert Rodriguez. With Miller’s 300 sequel hitting the big screen, it’s pretty apt that another Frank Miller movie is announced.
Titled Sin City: A Dame to Kill, the movie’s plot is based on the short Sin City story “Just another Saturday night” which was collected in the fifth Sin City book, Booze, Broads & Bullets. On top of that, the movie will also feature two stories that Miller wrote exclusively for the film.
Miller fans are definitely going to be happy. From the looks of the trailer, we can expect the same gritty, black-and-white noirish feel that the first movie and the Sin City graphic novels exuded. There shouldn't be much to complain about.
And you can expect Sin City alums Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, and Jessica Alba will be returning in the movie while a bunch of new faces will also be on screen including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green and Josh Brolin.
So keep your calendars free for the 22 August released date and you might be in for a sinful good time.
