Star Trek: Discovery is out and it looks glorious

Expect it on your Netflix soon now that it's premiered in the US

It's happened, Star Trek fans. Star Trek: Discovery's first two episodes have aired on CBS All Access and you know what that means? It's going to be on Netflix soon for all us international subscribers.

The hype is real

The good news is that judging from social media reactions so far, the show is getting great buzz from viewers and a few good reviews as well. The bad news? We'll need to wait 24 hours from its first airing in the US to get it on Netflix.

Still, it's a better deal than in the US where the only way to watch the show is by subscribing to CBS All Access.

CBS has also posted a video of the main title sequence for the show but it's US-only for now, but YouTube being the handy source it is, you can view a preview in the video below.

If you need a summary of what to expect: the show is set around a decade before Star Trek: The Original Series. The action will centre around the ships USS Shenzhou and the USS Discovery, captained by Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh) and Gabriel Lorca (Jason Isaacs) respectively but the actual protagonist is Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green). Burnham is First Officer on the Shenzhou and is a human who had a Vulcan upbringing, thanks to the Vulcan Sarek.

Prepare to set your remotes to 'on' and enjoy the show once it airs in less than a day.
