Stuff Picks: Sony’s new wonder child, the A7R III

Plus a predatorial package, headphones that keep on going and something pretty in pink

Sony A7R III (RM14,888, body only)

The third generation of Sony’s A7R series has landed in Malaysia and it’s a doozy. Sporting a 42.4MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor, 10fps with full AF/AE tracking and 4K video capabilities, the A7R III is all set to snap especially if you already have these Sony lenses. Its layout is simple and buttons are mostly on the right (sorry, lefties!), with a dedicated AF-on button that makes it easy to ensure your subject's eyes are the focus of the photo you're taking.

Read our coverage of the launch here and check out some sample images from the camera. Available from 13 December.

Acer Predator Triton 700 (from RM9999)

The Triton 700 packs a lot of punch - overclockable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 with Max-Q design, 7th Gen Intel Core processors, two NVMe PCle SSDs in RAID 0 configuration and up to 32GB of DDR4 2400 MHz memory. And somehow, it manages to squeeze all this into a thin unibody aluminium chassis measuring just 18.9mm. There's even a Corning Gorilla Glass plate above the keyboard that gives you a peek into the laptop’s cooling system and also serves as a precision touchpad. Naturally, it's VR-ready too and offers an immersive gaming experience with its Full HD IPS 15.6in display with a 170-degree viewing angle.

The Acer Predator Triton 700 is available with a GTX1060 configuration (RM9999) and GTX1080 configuration (RM13,999). Every purchase of the GTX1080 configuration Triton 700 comes with a special edition TTe-Sports GT Fit Predator gaming chair worth RM1399, Predator Gaming mouse worth RM499 and Predator Gaming T-shirt worth RM99.
