Slow down. What’s the buzz?
Launched by Aimia Inc, Nectar.in is an e-commerce loyalty program that has been modelled on the online part of it’s UK namesake, Nectar, which claims to be U.K.’s largest loyalty initiative. Seriously, UK’s Nectar has stats that state that their loyalty program members have enjoyed benefits worth more than £2 billion since it launched 15 years ago! Bloody Hell! That is a mean feat and definitely assuring for the Indian junta, which has seen more than its fair share of similar rewards program bloom and wither before you could say Chak de phatte.
How does it work?
Pretty simple. First off, there’s absolutely no joining fee of any kind. In other words, it’s our favourite word in the world: free! All you need to do is log on to Nectar, become a member and look up the product you want. You’ll then see said product’s prices across various sites such as Flipkart, Amazon and Jabong, from which you can choose the best deal. Buying anything through Nectar will earn you loyalty points that you can redeem against various offers. Simple, sweet and efficient.
If you’re still feeling skeptical, here’s a piece of information that’ll make a believer out of you: Aimia Inc partnered with Infosys to create the e-commerce platform in question. There’s more: A beta version of Nectar was launched among Infosys’ employees across five cities and only after the test run was successful, has Nectar’s current avatar been launched for the masses. Seriously, quit mulling and jump on the bandwagon will ya!
