The Honor 8 Lite is compact but packs a punch

Aren’t you glad to see ‘compact’ phones that don’t skimp on the specs?

Android 7, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage should ward off flagship fever.

This year’s shaping up to be a good one, especially if you prefer ‘small’ phones. First, there was the Moto G5 Plus, and now, it’s Honor’s turn to launch a not-so-humongous handset that’s got a filled-out spec sheet and a price that won’t make you weep. Enter the Honor 8 Lite. It’s got a 5.2in display with slim bezels, a skinny-jeans-friendly profile, and a price that seems rather sensible (₹17,999). But that doesn’t mean you get shortchanged on the spec front: The Honor Lite 8 runs on Huawei’s Kirin 655 processor, has 4GB RAM, a Full HD display, and 64GB storage. Even better, the EMUI 5.0 OS now runs Android Nougat under the hood. Other stuff you’ll like includes the 3000mAh battery, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The Honor 8 Lite also marks Honor's entry into offline retail - you can find it online as well, but if you're old-school, just stop by at your friendly neighbourhood mobile store.
