Apple prepares to plug Apple TV into the App Store

Let’s pop this in the basket of rash rumours with Apple’s name attached to them. Recently we’ve had the Mac games console, carbon fibre MacBooks, smart bezels and hybrid E Ink displays.

Now we’re adding Apple TV apps to that speculative list, based on the appearance of inconclusive – yet rumour-inducing – products in the requirements panel of iTunes’ App Store. So, is our mystery product (enticingly titled ix.Mac.MarketingName) the Apple TV? Or are we due some other surprise? Let the rumours run wild.
