Topping the bill in BenQ’s latest crop of HD projectors is the 1080p W10000.With a DarkChip3 DLP DMD panel from Texas Instruments on board and a specially coated 8 segment colour wheel, the £4500 price tag starts to look mightily attractive. Throw in a 10000:1 contrast ratio and 1200 lumens of retina-wrecking brightness and we cry, 'bargain!'But if four and a half grand isn't quite your budget, there's always the similarly styled W9000 (pictured), which kicks out a slightly less impressive 8500:1 contrast ratio but still digs 1080p and keeps the same brightness. Like the W10000, it'll also handle cinema-matching 24p.Real bargain hunters, though, can opt for the W500 which takes things down to 1080i with a 5000:1 contrast ratio and 1100 lumens but still impresses by swapping the colour wheel for a 3 LCD system. Now then, gentlemen (and ladies, of course) we believe a wall-sized session of MotorStorm is in order.EssentialsBenQ W500, W9000, W10000Price: £700, £2500, £4500On sale: Now Contact: BenQRelated stories:Gadget of the Day – Sim2 Grand Cinema C3X-EThe world's smallest 1080p projectorBenQ goes camera, projector crazy
