When Amazon used the name Kindle for its class-leading eReader, we thought, that’s a good name. Since then the world has gone gadget family-name mad with Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy R, Galaxy S II; and Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Xperia Ray, Xperia Play; it’s all a bit much.

Now Amazon has added another name by buying up two web addresses: KindleScribe.com and KindleScribes.com on August 20th. Unlike those meaningless family names, this gives us clues to what the new Kindle might be capable of. We already expect the Coyote and Hollywood colour tablets, a social networking effort from the KindleAir.com purchase, and NFC payments – all before Christmas.

Now there’s a chance of some sort of writing interaction, scribing if you will, that could mean an exciting tablet/eReader hybrid. This is the robot equivalent of mixing gene pools, and that’s always a good thing.
