Google and Samsung could be working on a 10in Nexus tablet
The Big G could be in cahoots with Sammy's design maestros to create a larger Nexus slate
A 10.1in Google Nexus tablet designed by Samsung could very well be on its way according to CNET’s NPD DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim.
The rumoured 10.1in tablet will notably pack in more pixels than Apple’s latest iPad, with a 2560×1600 display, providing an eye-watering 299ppi. In comparison, the new iPad’s 9.7in 2048×1536 display packs in 264ppi. Talk about one-upmanship.
Unsurprisingly, the 10.1in Nexus tablet will be a high end device, so any chances of the Nexus 7‘s £160 price tag moving over to Samsung’s 10 incher will be slim indeed.
Shim’s “supply chain indications” have led him to believe that the mysterious Google/Sammy tablet is on its way, along with a US$99 tablet which is set to be released in December.
A tasty rumour from the Google camp then, though we’ll be swallowing it with a large heap of salt, for the time being at least.
