Fujifilm mirrorless camera – better than 35mm

Fujifilm makes a bold claim for its much talked about mirrorless camera – but it could be true

Fujifilm has been gearing up for the release of its mirrorless camera for some time now – and this leaked image shows it all set for its big reveal at CES. The exciting news, though, is Fujifilm CEO Shigetaka Komori's claim that the camera can shoot at "resolution and low noise that will surpass the 35mm full size sensor."

While the jury's out on Fujifilm's claims, the leaked pic looks promising, showing a fairly compact camera sporting a grippy textured black finish.

Real details which allow us to compare it to the Nikon J1 or Sony Nex-5 mirrorless cameras will be up next week, once we've seen the Fujifilm unveiled at the world's biggest consumer electronics show, CES.
