The iPhone 4S tripled Apple's UK phones sales in October

Official sales figures courtesy of Kantar Woldpanel reveal that Apple shifted triple the amount of iPhones in October compared with each of the three preceding months.
You don't have to be a fancy analyst to work out that these glowing figures were fuelled by the launch of the iPhone 4S – three quarters of which went to existing loyal iPhone owners.
Although impressive, we're looking forward to Google's post Galaxy Nexus sales numbers to see how many people were biding their time before jumping ship to the 'droid side. Either way, the smartphone arena this Christmas looks set to be bloodier than ever...
