Rock breathes fiery Dungeons & Dragons laptop

As if hunting down a Wi-Fi hotspot to carry on your online role-playing game wasn’t geeky enough, you can now do it on a Dungeons & Dragons laptop

As if hunting down a Wi-Fi hotspot to carry on your online role-playing game wasn’t geeky enough, you can now do it on a Dungeons & Dragons laptop, courtesy of Rock.

The notebook maker has teamed up with Atari to craft these Pegasus 650s, but you’ll have to move your barbarian feet to snap one up – only 100 have been made.

The gaming laptops have got the ideal specs for getting immersed in the new Dungeons & Dragons Online Stormreach game and its world of hobgoblins and paladins.

You get a choice of either an ATI Mobility Radeon X700 graphics card or the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6600, and built-in Wi-Fi means you can play with pride in your local Starbucks while wearing your home-made armour.

Even if you have to cover the artwork to avoid being lynched by local anti-RPG gang, it’s still a laptop to be proud of underneath its limited edition skin – there’s Windows XP, up to a 120GB hard-drive and 2GB of RAM, and a 15.4in WSXGA (1680x1050 pixel) screen.

When you’re not frittering your life away in a fantasy universe, you can also switch off the juice-sapping graphics card to get the battery life up to three hours.

The Pegasus 650 laptop prices start at £1000 from Rock’s site, but Atari is also giving away three from its site here.
