The Asus Eee Keyboard, the Commodore 64-style keyboard PC, will launch in Europe next month. The keyboard with a built-in PC features a 5in display, a 1.65GHz Atom processor (like lots of netbooks) and 1GB memory. It’ll also stuff 16GB or 32GB of solid-state storage into its slight frame.

The Eee Keyboard has also got WiFi, HDMI and wireless ultra-wide-band HDMI. With an October launch coinciding with the emergence of Windows 7, we’d guess it’ll be packing that too. Asus is still being coy on pricing but we’d expect it to sit squarely in the bracket marked “reasonable”.

What do you think of the Asus Eee Keyboard? Is it a form factor too far or the future of tip tapping?
