Rumour Mill – Skype video chat coming to Facebook

Recent rumours of a Facebook video chat service are supported by an invitation featuring a chat icon to an event this Wednesday. Interweb speculations strongly suggest that both a desktop and browser-based video chatting feature powered by Skype will soon be available to the hundreds of millions of Facebook users.

This is good news for Microsoft who recently forked out a hefty sum for Skype as well as investing heavily in Facebook during its early years. All in all we don’t think we’ll have to take any of these rumours with more than just a few crystals of salt. Roll on Wednesday and let the facts spew forth from the mouth of Zuckerberg himself.
