Motorola event on 4th September: Moto 360 and new smartphones expected

It's official: the company has sent out invitations to a press launch in Chicago

Motorola has invited members of the tech press to an event in Chicago on 4th September, and the invite hints that the devices unveiled will be the Moto 360 smartwatch and successors to the Moto X and Moto G smartphones.

And a headset too?

The emailed, animated invitation consists of a piece of folded paper that opens out to reveal four icons: a watch; a phone with “X” on its screen; a phone with “G” on its screen; and a Bluetooth headset.

The clear suggestion is that we’ll be seeing four new devices come 4th September. With the IFA show in Germany kicking off that week, it’s promising to be something of a bumper time for gadget releases. Time to start counting the days, tech fans.
