sony playstation vita digital game downloads cheaper than physical boxed copies

Sony PlayStation Vita games will be cheaper than their physical counterparts if a photo of Best Buy price listings posted on NeoGAF is to be believed.

According to the price list, all downloadable PlayStation Vita games will be ten percent cheaper, which is good news for gamers who no longer have their boat rocked by the smell of a freshly opened game case and manual.

It's too early to tell if this discount will be global or remain in US Best Buy stores, but we'll let you know as and when we get more info.

In the meantime, check out our Sony PlayStation Vita review which should hopefully keep you going until its February 22nd release date.

That is a step in the right direction, but you can trade the hard copy in against another, if you don't like it or want it any more. Until the price is more like 25-30% cheaper, hard copies will always be better.

Some games will probably be preferred in a hard copy version, but let's think about Jewel Quest Solitaire. Some people might prefer just paying for instant download. Hope you agree with me.

Hmmm maybe they will implement a fantasy hockey pool game on the PlayStation Vita. I have read the review and in my opinion it this a very good piece of hardware. The idea with the virtual games being cheaper than their physical counterparts is good but it depends from which point of view you look at it.
